Chip Authentication
Verify document chip cryptographic signatures against issuing authority certificates. Confirms the chip was written by a legitimate government and has not been cloned.
Clone Detection
NFC chip data is protected by public-key cryptography, making it impossible to duplicate or forge. Even sophisticated counterfeit documents fail chip-level verification.
Biometric Data
Extract the high-resolution facial photo stored on the document chip for biometric comparison. Chip-sourced images are significantly higher quality than visual captures.
Passive Authentication
Verify that chip data has not been tampered with by validating digital signatures against the ICAO Public Key Directory. No interaction with the chip is needed beyond reading.
Active Authentication
Challenge-response protocol proves the chip is an original and not a copy. The chip must answer a cryptographic challenge that only the genuine hardware can produce.
ICAO Compliant
Follows ICAO 9303 international standards for machine-readable travel documents. Compatible with passports and ID cards from over 150 issuing countries.
