In this cookie statement, we inform you about our processing activities on our website. This way you can see at a glance which cookies we set for which purposes on our website and which third-party cookies we allow.
In our privacy policy you will also find information about data processing in our different product categories.
Scope and Contact
The following privacy policy applies to signteq GmbH as the operator of the site (hereinafter "signteq", "we", "us").
Responsible for the collection, processing and use of your personal data within the meaning of the GDPR is signteq GmbH, Gumpendorfer Straße 36/46, 1060 Vienna.
If you have questions about data protection, please contact [email protected] or write to us at our company headquarters: Gumpendorfer Straße 36/46, 1060 Vienna.
1. Handling of Cookies
We attach great importance to data protection, as the protection of your personal data is a particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of legal provisions, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), the Austrian Data Protection Act ("DSG") and the Telecommunications Act ("TKG").
Cookies are small files that make it possible to store specific, device-related information on the user's access device (PC, smartphone, etc.). On the one hand, they serve the user-friendliness of websites and thus the users (e.g. storage of login data). On the other hand, they serve to capture the statistical data of website usage and to be able to analyze them for the purpose of improving the offer.
Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option with which the storage of cookies can be restricted or completely prevented. However, it is pointed out that the use and especially the convenience of use can be restricted without cookies.
You can remove cookies that have already been set either directly by manual deletion in the corresponding folder on your hard drive or by deletion via the corresponding function of your browser. If you need support with revoking your consent to the use of cookies, please contact [email protected].
You are of course free to allow the use of our cookies or to deactivate them. However, if you choose to deactivate them, unfortunately you will not be able to use all the functions of our website.
2. Processed Data Categories
When you use our website, we typically process your IP address, name of the retrieved web page, file, date and time of retrieval, amount of data transferred, message about successful retrieval, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider. All this data is transmitted to us by your web browser when you visit our website.
In detail, these are the following data:
- Your IP address: This serves to determine the country from which you visit us in order to be able to offer regionally different content, and also for statistical evaluation of visitors by country.
- URL: We use the URL you called up to evaluate how often a particular article was called up.
- Timestamp: The time of calling up the URL (date and time) serves to restrict statistical evaluations to certain periods.
- Referrer URL: This is the URL of the page from which you came to the current page by clicking a link. We use this for statistical evaluation to measure which (external) pages link to one of our pages.
- User Agent String: This represents the name and version of the browser used and serves us to optimize the display and user-friendliness of our website.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
In data protection, a distinction is made between cookies that require your consent before they may be stored on your terminal device, and cookies that may be stored without your consent according to the Telecommunications Act, since these are absolutely necessary for us to be able to provide you with our service. The majority of our cookies are those for which no consent is required. We naturally only set the remaining cookies after we have obtained your consent.
The legal basis for using cookies is therefore either your consent or the exception provision provided for in the Telecommunications Act.
4. Our Processing Activities on Our Website
In addition to the processing activities listed in the privacy policy, we carry out the following data processing on our website.
A. Functional Cookies
Cookies are generally used to enable additional functions on a website. Functional cookies can, for example, facilitate navigation on our website, ensure that the website can be continued to be used at the point where it was previously left, or they can serve to save your settings when you visit our website again. We process your data on the basis of the Telecommunications Act. Functional cookies are required for the use of our website.
B. Analysis Cookies
We use web analytics services to enable an analysis of your use of our website. We process your data on the basis of your consent.
The following data processing constitutes profiling. You can object to this processing at any time through the opt-out options provided.
Google Analytics: We use Google (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) as a web analytics service provider. We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization. This means that the IP address does not allow any conclusions about you as a user. Google holds a Privacy Shield certification and thereby guarantees a data protection level adapted to the European Union.
5. Your Rights
You can find comprehensive information about your rights in our privacy policy. You generally have the following rights:
- Information
- Deletion
- Correction
- Data portability
- Restriction of processing
- Withdrawal of your consent
- Objection to processing
- Objection to processing for advertising purposes
If you want to exercise your rights, we ask you for proof of your identity by means of a copy of your ID for data security reasons.
Please note that especially with data regularly processed in cookies (online identifiers, IP address), re-identification of your person is either excluded or not possible for us in the majority of all cases, and we can only comply with your requests to a very limited extent in these cases due to the lack of assignability of this data to your person. Please direct your data protection inquiries to [email protected].
You can withdraw your consent to the use of cookies at any time by making appropriate settings in your browser. Please direct questions about withdrawing your consent to the use of cookies to [email protected].
You have the right to complain to the competent supervisory authority. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have been violated, the data protection authority is available to you at www.dsb.gv.at.
Cookie Categories
Cookies can be classified on the one hand according to the duration of their data processing and on the other hand according to the type of their use.
A. Categories by Cookie Duration
According to the duration of their data processing, two categories of cookies can basically be distinguished: session cookies and persistent cookies.
Most cookies on our website are so-called session cookies. They are automatically deleted when you leave our website again. Persistent cookies, on the other hand, remain on your computer until the cookies either reach an expiration date set by us or are manually deleted by you in your browser.
B. Categories by Cookie Type
In practice, the classification of cookies into the following three categories has become established: functional cookies, analysis cookies and advertising cookies. The presentation of processing activities on our website therefore also follows this logic.
- User Input Cookies: These are session cookies that are used to be able to track the input of users on the website. Your consent is not required for these cookies.
- Authentication Cookies: These cookies serve to identify the user as soon as they log in to the website, so that the user can gain access to their content. Your consent is not required for these cookies, as long as it is not a permanent login.
- Security Cookies: These cookies serve to increase data security on the website and in particular to protect the login system from abuse. Your consent is not required for these cookies.
- Analysis Cookies: These cookies enable the website operator to analyze the use of their website and thereby improve it. We obtain your consent for the use of these cookies.
