Where is my data stored within signteq.io?

Text-based Data

Your text-based data includes things like your name, email address, phone number and so on. The majority of this data is stored in an encrypted database both at rest and in transit within the EU at Hetzner.

Images and Other File Types

This includes your documents, avatars and other files. These files are stored in our encrypted storage within the EU at Exoscale, which only certain people in our organization with special authorization can access.

Where does my data go outside of signteq.io?

We only transmit data to trusted third-party systems within the EU that are subject to strict data protection and security controls. We think it's important that you not only understand what purpose these systems serve, but also why we share your data with these systems. If you disagree with our rationale or don't understand it, please send us an email at [email protected].

If you do not agree to your data being transmitted to a particular system, deleting your signteq account will permanently delete all your data from all our systems. When we work with these service providers in our capacity as a data processor for our customers' personal data, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) refers to these third parties as sub-processors. A sub-processor is a third-party data processor commissioned by signteq.io that has access to or processes personal data.

Google Analytics is an American analytics software. It provides us with anonymized user metrics such as session duration and traffic sources. We want to know where our users come from. This way we can find out which features might be relevant to their interests.

Who has access to my data within Signteq.io?

Our support team has access to user data, such as the user account, to handle support requests.

Our technical team may gain temporary access to our servers and file storage. This only happens for debugging or development purposes. Each developer has a unique key that identifies them within our systems. All actions are logged.

If you want to delete your data, deleting your account will permanently delete all your data from our systems.
